Conférence: The Exciting World of Brain Development in Canada and Abroad: The Kids Brain Health Network Experience
The Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN) , formerly known as NeuroDevNet, has established three priorities in our efforts to make a difference in the care and treatment of kids with neurodevelopmental disabilities: early diagnosis, evidence-based intervention, and support for the child and family. In our first five years, these three objectives originally were applied to three disorders: autism spectrum disorder, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and cerebral palsy. In our current five years we have extended the reach of KBHN to include co-morbidities associated with neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDD), health economics and the social determinants of health. As we prepare for what we hope will be a successful renewal of the network for an additional 5 years (2020-2025), we seek to bring together national teams of researchers with the focus on impact, making measurable differences in Canada for the kids and families faced with NDD.
